Why Do We Charge a fee for No Call No Show and Late Cancelled Appointments?
As a private practice, we do not receive grants, donations, or charity to offer mental health services free of charge. We rely on our clients to honor their appointment times, which is how our therapists receive their livelihood. For many of our therapists, this is their full-time job, in which they rely on to take care of their families. If a client does not honor their scheduled appointment time with their therapist, the therapist is not compensated for that hour. Insurance / EAP will not cover a late cancelled or no show appointment.
Therapists spend about 7 years receiving their education, as well as another 2 years of supervision to become a fully licensed therapist. Therapists also participate in continuing education courses and trainings every year to grow as a professional. Please know that your therapist is passionate about your healing journey and making a difference in your life. When a client pays for their NCNS or late cancelled appointment, this shows accountability and respect for their therapist and their time. Thank you for your understanding.
Out of Network
We can provide you with a superbill to submit to insurance if you would like to use out of network benefits. This DOES NOT guarantee reimbursement from your insurance. To find out if you have out of network benefits, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask "what are my out of network benefits and how do I submit claims?" Insurance may reimburse a portion of the rate you pay. If you choose to use out of network benefits, you will need to be assigned a mental health diagnosis so that your insurance company can process the claims. Please be aware that you are still 100% responsible for payment at time of service.
Please ask us about our reduced rates if you are unable to pay our self-pay rates. There are options to work with an LPC-Associate that is currently under the supervision of an LPC-Supervisor.
PAYMENT IS DUE AT TIME OF SERVICE. WE ACCEPT CASH, DEBIT, CREDIT, and HSA.
