Heather is the owner and founder of Mindful Solutions Counseling and brings over 12 years of clinical experience to her work as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her extensive background spans a wide range of mental health settings, including community agencies, inpatient and emergency psychiatric hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, juvenile probation, university counseling centers, and private practice. This breadth of experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of mental health across various levels of care and diverse populations.
She has pursued advanced, in-depth training through international study in London and Australia, gaining cross-cultural insights and specialized expertise in areas such as Neuroscience, Sex Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. These experiences have deepened her integrative and evidence-based therapeutic approach, allowing her to tailor interventions to meet the unique needs of each client with both precision and empathy.
In addition to her clinical work, Heather has served as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Texas Wesleyan University, where she has contributed to the academic and professional development of future mental health professionals. Her teaching experience reflects her dedication not only to client care but also to the advancement of the counseling field.
Heather is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate challenges with clarity and resilience. Through a collaborative and compassionate process, she supports her clients in making meaningful changes, cultivating self-awareness, and achieving lasting growth. I enjoy working with individuals (children, adolescents, and adults), couples, and families who are ready to take the next step in their life. I specialize in using Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative therapy approach. I believe inspiration and motivation will make a difference in your life. I also am a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and I enjoy competing in local and out of state tournaments.
