Multichannel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI) is a brief, non-invasive therapy designed to help people resolve trauma, anxiety, and other distressing experiences by integrating how the brain stores and processes memories. MEMI is based on the understanding that traumatic or distressing experiences can become “stuck” in the brain, stored in fragmented sensory and emotional channels (sight, sound, body sensations, emotion, etc.). These unintegrated fragments can later trigger distress or symptoms. Through structured, multi-directional eye movements, MEMI helps the brain naturally reconnect and integrate these channels essentially allowing the mind to “update” old memories in a calm, adaptive way.
