Sofia brings a foundation in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention to her work at Mindful Solutions Counseling as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. Her background includes direct clinical work with children and adolescents at both the inpatient and partial hospitalization level, as well as outpatient services for adolescents and adults. Prior to her work at Mindful Solutions Counseling, Sofia worked at Cook Children’s and Denton County MHMR, providing her with skills in Trauma-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills training, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and emotional regulation and coping strategies.

About Myself:I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) with experience across a variety of mental health settings. I have a passion for supporting children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel empowered and where we work together as a team throughout the therapeutic journey.
Originally from the beautiful Pacific Northwest, I enjoy spending time outdoors whenever I can. I also have a deep love for the arts and am always happy to talk about dance, theater, or music. Outside of counseling, you’ll often find me at the gym, playing with my dog, or relaxing with a good book.
